After getting the motor mounted into the frame, it was time for some cleanup in the shop, so I used the forklift, and put the snow dozer onto some roller carts for portability. I also finalized the belt drive from the jackshaft to the transaxles.
After that, I transferred over the temporary gas tank, battery, and crude wiring harness to get closer to a running contraption. Remember the old saying “measure twice and cut once?” Well, it also applies that you need to think things through before plowing ahead, so here’s some deep thinking moments:
That must have worked, as I figured out the bell-crank arms to transfer the movement of new control sticks down to the actuators on the transaxles. I also used this time to start to narrow in on the optimal seating location.
Hmm, that seems like it should work, let’s go try it!
Prepping for a test run, the forklift came in handy again!
